The first event will take place on June 20, 2009. The following cars will be Kmart Collectors Day exclusives:

1. Bumper Save
2. Clutch Aid
3. Easy Idle
4. Lil Torquey Pistons
5. Mood Springs
6. No Stall
7. Retread
8. Shifty Drug
9. and Tow Cap

The second event will take place on October 17, 2009. The following cars will be Kmart Collectors Day exclusives:

1. Leak Less
2. N2O Cola
3. Octane Gain
4. Rev-N-Go
5. Re-Volting
6. Trunk Fresh
7. and Vinyl Toupee

All of these cars will come with rubber tires, and exclusive packaging that will ONLY be available at the events.

More info on the next Kmart Cars Collector Day on Saturday June 20, 2009. Here is the full case list.
1. Lightning McQueen
2. Mario Andretti (Italian Chase Packaging
3. Mini
4. Patti
5. Todd, Pizza Planet Truck
6. Vitoline Pitty
1. Bumper Save (2)
2. Clutch Aid
3. Easy Idle
4. Lil Torquey Pistons
5. Mood Springs (2)
6. No Stall
7. Retread
8. Shifty Drug (2)
9. Tow Cap
You will each get to draw a number and then you go in the order of the number you selected. You will be allowed to buy 5 CARS. Then it will be the next person’s turn. After all the people who have drawn numbers have finished selecting their five CARS - any CARS remaining will be available for everyone/anyone.

And yes, the Piston Cup racers listed above will ALL be available with rubber tires. They are soft and pliable like real vulcanized rubber but not real rubber.

You can't pre-order it apparently, but you can enter your e-mail address to be notified when it is available.

The link above is not working for me. Also while we have over 140 cars, I'm somewhat new to this world of Cars "collecting". During a Kmart days event last year, my parents just walked into their local store and picked up the 5 race cars being offered. Can you tell me how you can become a part of the take a number thing?

How many numbers are given out and are their only 1 of each car in a case(except those noted with a (2)? How many cases do stores get?

I think the pre-sale cases may be sold out. Now the link above says:

You have reached this page because the product you selected is no longer available on our site, or is temporarily out of stock due to high demand.

The event starts at 11 AM ET. They will give out numbers to people in line beforehand. There should be multiple cases but I don't know exactly how many. Each person with a number will be allowed to pick out 5 Cars to buy. If there are more left over, you can buy more obviously.

This is what I've heard is the stated policy. Each store may not abide by this though, and you could end up with a free for all. In other words, your experience may vary. Also, I would check with my local store to make sure they plan on participating. Some stores may just put them out on the shelves with the other Cars.

Well, I had my doubts about attending because of the horror stories that I have heard about K-Mart Days but I was able to get every one of the new cars! When I arrived at the store, I was very surprized to find that I was only the second one there, but it was a free for all and by the time they put out all of the cases, they were all gone within 15 to 20 minutes! I think that they only put out 12 cases all together. I look forward to the next event on October the 17th.
